DIN 5685 A short link chain with a hot dip galvanized finish. The thicker zinc layer gives noticeably longer corrosion protection than electro galvanizing, which suits outdoor, coastal and damp working conditions.
Where Hot Dip Galvanized DIN 5685A Chain Is Used
DIN 5685 designates calibrated short link (form A) and long link (form C) chain for general purpose use: hanging, lifting slings made on site, towing, barriers and decorative work. It is not a grade-marked lifting chain. The hot dip galvanized finish is chosen where the chain is exposed to weather, salt air or repeated wetting.
