A DIN 580 eye bolt is a forged steel bolt with a collar and a round eye, used to create a lifting or anchoring point. The collar seats against the load surface to take the load in line and the eye accepts a hook, shackle or sling.
Typical Applications
Used as an anchorage point in lifting and rigging assemblies, for pulling, tying down and general load handling. The eye bolt must be seated so the load is applied in line with the eye; it is not designed for angular loading unless the appropriate type is specified. Match the working load limit to the load and the sling angle.
Material and Surface Finish
Forged carbon steel with a metric coarse thread and a black or zinc plated finish depending on the requirement.
