A DIN 582 eye nut is a forged steel nut with a round eye on top, threaded internally to screw onto a bolt or stud. It creates a lifting or anchorage point and is the female counterpart to the DIN 580 eye bolt.
Typical Applications
Used as a lifting and rigging anchorage point, and paired with bolts, studs or rods where a threaded eye is needed. The eye nut must be tightened down and the load applied in line with the eye. Match the working load limit to the load and the sling angle.
