DIN 764 is the German standard for calibrated short link steel chain. The links are dimensionally controlled so the chain runs evenly over sheaves and through hooks and shackles, and it is a common general purpose chain in European and marine work.
Typical Applications
Used for general purpose rigging, lashing and mooring lines, and for marine and industrial applications where an even, calibrated short link chain is needed. DIN 764 is a general purpose chain, not a grade-marked lifting chain, and must not be used for overhead lifting where a certified lifting chain is required.
Material and Surface Finish
Carbon steel, supplied in the natural (self colour) finish. Zinc plated, electro galvanized and hot dip galvanized versions can be supplied for outdoor and marine environments on request.

Produced in diameters from 4 mm to 26 mm. Inside length runs from 16 mm to 91 mm, inside width from 5 mm to 35 mm, and outside width from 14 mm to 94 mm.
