DIN 766 is the German standard for calibrated short link steel chain used for general purpose work. The hot dip galvanized version carries a thicker zinc layer than electro galvanizing, giving longer protection outdoors.
Typical Applications
Typical uses include general purpose and marine work such as mooring and anchoring lines, and for outdoor installations where corrosion protection matters. DIN 766 is not a grade-marked lifting chain and must not be used for overhead lifting.
