Zinc plated lock chain supplied with a canvas cover. The fabric sleeve protects painted and finished surfaces from contact damage while the galvanized chain provides the strength.
Where Canvas Covered Lock Chain Is Used
Security chain is used for locking and general securing tasks such as gates, doors, bicycles and light equipment. It is not a grade-marked lifting chain and must not be used for overhead lifting.
Material and Surface Finish
Carbon steel (20CrMnTi, 20Mn2 or A3 grade), with or without heat treatment, and a zinc plated finish. Made as round link, square link or D-type chain, with PVC or nylon cloth covering available on request.
Sizes and Ordering
Standard production covers diameters from about 3.2 mm up to 25.4 mm in both metric and inch sizes, supplied in bundles or cut to length. Tell us the diameter, link type (round, square or D), cover and length you need and we will confirm the configuration.
