DIN 5686 knotted chain is a weldless chain formed by interlocking bent wire links. It is light, flexible and available in decorative finishes as well as plain galvanized steel.
Where DIN 5686 Knotted Chain Is Used
DIN 5686 knotted chain (also called double loop chain) is a weldless decorative and general purpose chain. Each link is bent from wire and interlocked without welding, so the chain is light, flexible and economical. It is commonly used for hanging lamps and signs, as a barrier, and with S hooks. It is not a lifting chain.
Material and Surface Finish
Carbon steel or stainless steel (SUS304/316). Carbon steel versions come electro galvanized or zinc plated; stainless steel versions are usually polished. Knotted chain is also available in brass, black and other decorative finishes.
